Encoding Divx with GPU

Hi Guys,

I'm trying to convert some very large (20gb+) video files to Divx but the only encoders I can find do not utilise GPU acceleration.

Are there any out there that do? Its taking many many hours just to do one file at the moment.

I have both an AMD (5870) and a Nvidia GPU (560M) available to me.

Thanks for any help in advance.

More about encoding divx
  1. What is the format of the source files?
  2. Here is a date article (2009) that may offer some assistance: http://www.tomsguide.com/us/nero-Cuda-Nvidia-video-encoding,news-3559.html

Bigasoft Total Video Converter claims to use NVIDIA CUDA: http://www.***/total-video-converter.html
  3. They are .mkv files ripped off Blu-Rays.

I've found that mediacoder uses CUDA but it doesn't support the newest Divx codecs.

I'm particularly interested in Divx because i can end up with a file 1/3 of the size with no great loss of quality.

I think, after further research, that I'm looking for something that doesn't exist.

    Shame, thanks guys.
