One Long Continuous Beep New Build

Last response: in Systems

I just got all my components today and this is my first build.

When I power on I get one long continuos beep and it doesn't stop. Also, nothing on the monitor.

I've removed the mobo and set up the psu, ram and video card. I short circuit the power switch and I get the same thing so it appears that's it's a faulty component or am I wrong? I've substituted the ram and i get the same thing but I don't have an extra psu or video card to test them.

Any help is appreciated.

If I leave it the way it's set up now, outside the case and i remove the video card I get no beep.

What's the model of your motherboard, and BIOS manufacturer if known?

I'm such a friggin noob. I didn't connect the power to the video card. Hooked that up and all is good for the moment.
