I put my Dlink usb wifi in my Tivo and it changed my fw on it. I don't like the speed that it transfers at and I want to use it in my pc again. It will install fine but it won't show any access points. How do I reflash my FW?

I think I would check the CD which came with the DLink wireless adapter for a copy of the firmware and a loader program.

Failing that have a look at DLink's support site for a (perhaps newer) firmware download which will probably include a loader and instructions.

I have check the disc and I have also check on there website. They have no fw and do not offer support for it.

I would imagine there are Tivo user forums -- maybe someone else has experience of the problem and a solution.

If you are right about Tivo changing your firmware (presumably without giving you a chance to back up the old version) I'd be rather annoyed.

I would get on to Tivo's manufacturer and ask them what they propose to do to remedy any damage their equipment has done to yours.
