Depends on what you're doing, if you mean games, then yes the Ultra will most likely be the better performer by a fair margin. But that's more because of gaming-oriented drivers for the Ultra than anything else in my opinion since I don't know the exact specs of the FX5600.
 
For the most part the FX cards are based directly off of the desktop cards. The only difference in most cases are the drivers. With laptops I know that you can use Go7900GTX drivers with the FX2500M and have the FX perform like the GTX. I'm not sure about desktop cards and, like emp, I don't know the specs of the FX5600. Be an interesting thing to find out.
