DragonSprayer - No need to jump all over me, my mobo didn't come w/ 06, gimmie a break, its' just a question. I'm guessing the reason you get 13k w/ 06 because you're using a watercooled GTX compared to my air cooled stock gts.

I got 12k w/ vista and now almost 14k w/ XP. How did everyone else do?

They have all versions in free stripped down formats...don't bother sending your self e-mails?...that makes literally no sense...

Easy Solution and most effective:

1. Press print screen.
2. Open Paint, Click "Edit > Paste" (Or Ctrl + V)
3. File > Save > Jpg...Done

Your method.....

1. Find/Grab Digital Camera and power it on.
2. Position it to the screen and take a picture with the right settings (Keep in mind the quality of the camera is worse and harder for us to read compared to print screen).
3. Connect USB wire to PC and camera.
4. Pull over the image off the camera onto your hard drive.
5. Resize the image in order for it to be viewed at a decent resolution.

Overall it's much longer/tedious process with worst results...None of them required any e-mail sending. I got nothing against you. But, I've seen most your threads and they are mostly bias...don't insult others or show an attitude when you don't know what you're talking about.

Q6600 @ 2.4GHz Stock Speed
HD2900XT 512MB @ Stock Speed
2 x 2 Dual 1GB (4GB Total) PC6400 800MHz RAM
MSI Neo 3 (MS-7345) - Intel P35

Windows Vista Business 64-Bit

3DMark05 17669
3Dmark06 12790

:)

WOW pete4r those are very high scores - what would you say the biggest difference is between your system and mine? you scored about 4000 above me. Is the HD2900XT that much better than the 8800gts 640?
Thanks for any information.

Was abit curious in seeing why my lil new system could do. Not too shabby:

E4400 @ 2.8ghz
320MB 8800 GTS (edit: EVGA KO - GPU 588mhz / Mem 920mhz)
2 Gig A-DATA DDR2 800 (not running advertise speed, 280mhz)

Need to remember that 3dmark 2005 or 2006 is Edit: NOT   optimized for mulit-cores (correctly me if I'm wrong)

bigbeef2604 these are my results. Although 06 doesn't like my system as much as pete4rs but still.

And I am running:

Q6600 OC'ed to 2.7GHz
2GB Corsair DDR2 PC8500
Asus P5K-E WiFi-AP Mobo
2 500GB Segate 7200.10 Barrcudas in RAID0
ATI Radeon HD2900Pro 1GB GDDR4

3DMark05: 16168

3DMark06: 9862

I think the new Catalyst 7.10 drivers really helped in the score as mine is up from 13k. It just goes to show thet the HD2k series has a lot of potential just needs the drivers to support it.

I forgot I am running Vista Premium 32bit.

I get between 11,000 and 13,000 in 3dmark 06 with this setup

e6750 at 2.66 GHZ for the 11,000 and 3ghz for the 13,000 (I use it at 2.66 as it is NOT worth OCing it so little)
asus striker extreme
4GB twinmx2 corsair ram @4-4-4-12 2t 800mhz
2 eVGA 8800 gts 320's in SLI (not a HUGE diff but not bad either)
2 sata's NO RAID

driver versions...not the new one, I used an older version, I can't remember, maybe 97.5? anyway.

I am happy, but 3dmark is NOT a good benchmarking tool. Since it is made for GAMERS you should just use FRAPS and your favourite games.

(That's right I spell favourite with a 'u').

P.S. my score went as low as 7,000 with this setup if I use a new driver and ALL tests. Something is obviously bottlenecking. Time for a q6600? hmmm.

lol!

my method sell computer, build computer, test computer save screen shots and ship computer to customer - shoot photos of screen shots for records

computer is gone! its shipped - its easy to shoot photos of multiple computers under construction, a free photo, then unload 150 photos in 1 min. vs. too down load into thumb drives and transfer files - you noobie! lol

13,200-13,250 3dmark06 - if want a screen shot i have to search my photos!

note: there is too much data (its a 6mp)to email so the free hosing site allows large amounts of data to be transfered faster!

5. Resize the image in order for it to be viewed at a decent resolution.

all people are biased and yes, i am biased on purpose unless i am specifically helping someone.

i am cooking dinner while i write this so its pretty hard too understand - all the screen shots or photos are of computers built and shipped. the sceen shots are save on the owners computer and its backed up - they have the back up too.

if you have 3-4 computers being built simutanously, its easy to use a digital camera to document speed, consturction parts etc - many photos are for insurance purpose or later ads or info for new customers. i do not have access to any of the computers i post photos of.

hey, i already said sorry, i did not mean to jump all over him - back to my peper mayo itaian chicken

You should not be flamed either Dragonsprayer.

You made a mistake and apologized, so others should leave you alone and call you a man for admiting the mistake.

Good luck on your meal tonight and I understand you dig. camera thing...whatever works for you. Who cares about the printscreen option, it only saves about 30 seconds, WHO CARES!

Peace to all!

dude - i do print screen but i do not accumalate all the files into to master storage (3 rotating drives). they are left on the computers ......nevermind....

ok your just plulling my chain

i just made a peper mayo sauce

dried fruit - pinapple, mango, papaya - red poblano peppers roasted and mayo pureed. sweet and hot

With my system a couple weeks ago before i switched to Vista i scored 9358 on 3dmark06. O, i had xp before the switch and the latest drivers. I quickly found out that my score ramped up quickly with increases in my processor speed. Each 100 mhz in processor speed gave me roughly 300-400 points.

Vista Home Premium
Msi K8n Neo4-f
Athlon 64 X2 4600+ @ 2.7 "i keep it at 2.6 cause itll crash in bioshock at 2.7. but will run 3dmark06 fine at 2.7 and my score is based on the 2.7"
2GB Apacer
OCZ GameXstream 700w
EVGA 8800 GTX
Soundblaster Audigy 2 zs
Antec 900

Hi, I don't know, it used to be crappy scores with the previous drivers, but since the latest stable driver (not the beta on show at the moment, not for HD2900XT) the performance has been increased dramatically.

I can post a screenshot when I get home :)

Mine is an HD2900XT, urs is HD2900Pro, at stock speed it hardly makes the 1000 - 2000 score difference, and for that 50 euro price difference with more onboard GDDR3 RAM, it is a great buy. Reviews have shown the HD2900Pro can be pushed beyond 8800GTX and even close to 8800 Ultra:)

Whelp, actually found a decent site to d/l 3dmark06:

Same new system:
E4400 @ 2.8ghz
2 Gig A-DATA DDR2 800
EVGA 320MB 8800GTS KO

That's quite a change in score for me. My old P4 (6800GS AGP) system scored 2245.

Kinda weird how they bring up the results in the browser, rather from the app.

Yea I totaly need to OC mine. Just need to get a 3 to 4 pin converter to open up Overdrive since it is the easiest especially since it matches the memory with the GPU.

One thing though mine is GDDR4 so I am sure the OC'ing room is more. Stock its 601MHz GPU and 925MHz Memory. I say them OC a 512MB Pro to 743MHz GPU and 900MHz Memory and it surpassed the HD2900XT by 1k and that was on 7.9 Drivers. So I wounder if I can OC the memory to roughly 1100MHz. That would be crazy.
