I can't decide the X1950 xt 512 mb($215) has frame buffer to spare for new games while the 8800 GTS 320 mb's($307) frame buffer will render its future proofness questionable(as evident by World in Conflict)(and I have a 19inch 1600x1200 screen)but has the shader and non frame buffer limited performance for the future although cost 90 bucks more and temps me to spend another 97 bucks for the 640mb version(but that becomes overkill as I just don't play that many high end games (I still play a W3D(C&C Renegade) game Red Alert:A Path Beyond as my main online game)

I live in the Philippines so Graphics card releases take quite a bit longer and some don't even come here if not for that I would have gotten a HD 2900pro or waited for the 8800 GT.

8800GTS 320 performs like a 8800GTS 640 in most games in resolutions up to 1600x1200

You cant have it both ways you worry about buffer size then say you cant justify getting the 640 GTS ?
I would say you are worrying about nothing i would get the 320GTS.

Im sure he hasnt got a bottomless pocket mactronix please be a bit more considerate. 640mb 8800gts costs a lot more then the 320mb gts.

Even though 320mb is quite a bit less then 512mb, the physicalm performance difference between the 2 cards will always put the 8800gts 320 out ontop of the 1950xt/xtx.

If your card hasnt got enough memory though simply put it will use your ram as a buffer, so dont worry you'll still get better performance then a 1950xt.
