hi .. guys .. i want to buy new monitor coz the old one broken ..

want to buy sth above 17', like 19' or 20' .... which one is better actually ?? because i heard that 19' has the same resolution as the 17' monitor, is that true?

1. below $250 (US dollar) (i'm from malaysia so i'm not really know how much $250 cost, but i think i just need a cheaper monitor)
2. Quality 1st then only screen size
3. 19' or above...
4. i mostly use for movie and some gaming

actually this monitor is going to replace my old CRT which is broken and about 5yrs old... so my PC is same age like tat .. my graphic card is MX440 or MX400.. forget ...

so, hope my graphic card can support the new monitor ...

i get some suggestion that says DELL 2007WFP is great , but since it's over my budget, i cant afford it ... appreaciate if the suggestion come with some brief explanation cause i want to know how good its is .. really need help now bcoz i cant use my PC now.. OTL

THX !!!

since you are on a budget, you should see if the acer monitors are available

hmm ... thx for the suggestion ... but i think i may get sth just abit better coz i think my budget is around 200-250 usd..

contrast ratio is important ?? coz i saw on the newegg that some popular product has very low contrast ratio..

buying new model is always better than the old one ? coz when i search through the best rating product in newegg, some old product still hv high score since they got alot of votes.

my personal preference would be the samsung 931bw.
i believe the price should come out to around 250 after taxes.

it's a 19" monitor
2000:1 contrast ratio
1440x900 max res
2ms response time
nice design (in my opinion)
overall specs should be good.
i would do some research, call some local computer stores and ask around.

the only downfall would be that it doesnt have a vertical height adjustment, but i havn't found that to be a problem yet.

best of luck!
