Lexmark x5495 printer

Hello,my printer sounds like its switching on and off every 10 minutes then i get a message saying this device will work faster on a higher usb port 2.0 click here to find which port. when i click nothing happens. i have changed the usb lead but that didnt help

Have you installed latest drivers for the printer??
If not Download & install from here!

What service pack of XP you are using??
Try to upgrade to SP2 or SP3 for faster USB 2.0 Support!

i have installed the latest drivers, i think im on service pack 3 how do i find this out (sorry but im a novice)
