Anyone playing the demo? How is your performance. It's not looking good so far. :ouch:

Check out the link:
http://forums.ea.com/mboards/threa [...] 8&tstart=0

It seems people with an 8800GTX are running 8x6 or 10x7 to be playable, and that's with todays beta drivers. Also one guy with 8800GTX SLI says SLI isn't working for him (better perfoamnce without it).

BTW, Only EA preorders can get the demo today, the rest of us have to wait until tomorrow.

That's good to hear. Looking on about page 13-15 of that ea demo feedback thread, there are a few people with high end rigs claiming pitiful performance.

The guy who thought he had 70-80 fps didn't know his ass from a hole in the ground. After installing fraps (his fps was just a guess before) it showed 20 fps.

You know what, I think they talk about that guy with the 70-80 fps here: http://www.incrysis.com/forums/vie [...] =10869&p=2

Quote: "I'd like to see a fraps screenshot baselerd. Those numbers kinda sound like the other guy who thought he was getting 70-80 fps and then installed fraps to find it was more like 20-30. I really haven't seen anyone post a screenshot above 40 fps on high with any system."

The best claimed performance I have seen so far is the HD2900XT owner. But who knows as some people do guess their framerates instead of using fraps and posting legit fps while playing.

I got a feeling finding a fast mirror tomorrow will be beyond impossible. I have 15/2 cable, but it will probably be an all day download anyway.

Heheh, I have no idea paul. I used to play counter-strike a lot so I'm pretty sensitive to fps changes. Anyone that can't tell the difference between 20 and 80 probably has never even run a tool that measures it.

If they have it I'm getting it from guru3d.com, they usually have demos at un-capped downloads.

I'm not surprised it brings them to their knees, I'm pretty sure thought it will improve as time goes by, its been said SLI doesn't work that just shows how young these drivers are.

Rest assured, if Crysis can't be played comfortably at decent resolutions on today's top hardware then it would be an even bigger fiasco than Bioshock's DRM problem. I'm sure its just lack of driver support.
