Hey

Trying to build a nice rig for crysis :D

Hardware so far

Q6600
Zalman CNPS 8700
8800GT or 8800GTS (New)
2x1GB Corsair XMS2
500GB WD HDD
Corsair 620W
P5K or P5KC

I noticed they have same specs (Talking about the MBs now) the only diffrence I could find was that P5KC supports DDR3.
They cost about the same, so which 1 should I go with?

The reason im asking is because I offen read that ppl recommend P5K and not P5KC so maybe I was missing something.

So far as I know the only difference between them is ddr3 support as well. I was looking at this board or the gigabyte "c" board. I've only heard that the "c" type doesn't OC as well as the normal boards but I think the dual support is a good feature over absolute oc potentail but thats up to the individual. That's why they offer it with and w-out. And they support 8gb of dd2 or 4gb of ddr3.

DDR3 memory is to expensive at this moment.

There isn't a big gain in using DDR3 yet.

So, i will advice you to build a DDR2 rig.

The other components look very nice
