Can't boot my Laptop from external dvd drive

I plug my external DVD drive to boot my laptop but it does detect it, when I open it, it does open. I press f12 for booting, then select DVD ROM but it doesn't load my XP OS. Please help guys asap.

Your motherboard BIOS has to support to Boot from USB dvd Drive!

If your dvd drive get power from system, then door will open & use!

Check with your BIOS settings & manual!
