More Information

Hi, I have an ASUS P5K3 motherboard and a Zalman CNPS9500 AT. I cannot get the cpu fan to be thermally controlled.
The mb has a 4 pin connector and so does the fan. Upon post the fan increases to 100% and stays there. Using q-fan I can lower the fan, yet the speed will not increase as cpu temps increase to 60C core under a prime95 load. Even using speedfan, I can only change the fan speed if I change the fan setting to dc mode. After 20 minutes of a lower setting, the fan speed increases for no reason back to 100%. Does anyone know what my problem may be?
Thank you
