Rosewill RAID reputation/ R2-RAID info?

Ok, to replace the completely unacceptable Promise RAID card, I am looking at the external, 2 bay Rosewill RS-RAID enclosure.

Any recommendations for or against Rosewill RAID technology, and/or this particular box?

As a general rule of thumb I never buy anything manufactured or branded by Rosewill.

I have to disagree. The R2-RAID is a very nice enclosure. If you need something for video editting, maybe this isn't for you, but for basic file-server storage it's great. eSATA and USB 2 supported. Up to 2G's and it has a fan. The price is right too, I got mine for $60. on newegg and I'm very pleased.
