Please critique my new system build..
Got a few questions down after the part list.. Please expert, help me with this!! I took out irelevant part(screen, speakers, mouse and keyboard). Life expectancy would be 3 years. After that, time a a new system.

Question I have.. would you consider using a quad core with lower bus speed? In the same budget, I'd have to go with a 2.4 quad core with a lower FSB(1066). My concerns is will games will support quad core?

Question #2, is the ram a bottle neck for my system? Or it is adequate?
Question #3, beside the extra bells and whistle, in Home premium vista a gaming plateform?

Thanks

1 GTX better than 2 GTS in SLI, forget SLI and get a P35 mobo (FSB 1333)

RAM is fine, PSU is overkill

E6850 is 50% more expensive than E6750 and only 12% faster

RAID 0 is a waste. better to have multiple drives, 1 for OS, one for data + virtual memory

forget about Vista unless you absolutely have to run something that won't run on XP

Agree:
Let me add to that.
The PSU is a bit overkill, but the PSU still something you should never skip on.
Like nhobo said, multiple drives is better than RAID 0.
Wait for the Yorkfield Q9550 - faster and costs only $~500 - if you can wait a few more months.
Future high-tech games will use quad core (starting in 2008)
If you can wait a few months, a card better than the 8800GTX should be out.
As much as I hate Vista, it is the future, like it or not. Get a Vista 64 Ultimate if you don't like upgrading. If you already have a license for XP, just remove it from your old PC and install it on the new PC. Then wait for Vista until you really need it.
