Backing up drivers

Hello,
How do I back up my new Toshiba Satellite Pro® C650 Laptop on DVD or pen drives

A note of caution if you decide to use Windows 7 backup: If your hard drive fails you can only restore to a drive of the exact same size. For example if your current drive is 750GB and you use Windows 7 backup then you can only restore to a 750GB drive. I know because I made the mistake of using Windows 7 backup and tried to restore to a smaller disk, even though there was plenty of room for the restore, and it failed. I would recommend using something other than Windows 7 backup for a good backup.
