It's Corsair 800 DDR 2 XMS. A friend of mine is going to try to water cool a q6600 to over 3.6. Running at sync this would put the RAM up around 900, if he should be so lucky to get the CPU near 4 gig. Will this RAM do it or should he buy RAM rated for higher FSB?

Well, what 800 RAM has been verified for sure to do 900? Any recommendations for what to use on the Asus Mamiums?

Although all ram overclocks differently, most ram can do 900MHz.

I heard Transcend ram overclocks nicely.

if he wants to do 3.6 he can run the ram 1:1 800mhz 400x9

Or he can get the P5K-E or an X38 and run 3:4 and run 1066 or even 1200.

I got the same Corsair memory and mine is running at 900 at the moment. While going through the trial and error of over clocking, I had the memory up to 990 and it was stable. At 1000 or above it was not, however, thats at stock voltage. I imagine a little voltage boost would take it over 1000. But, 900? Absolutely it will do that.
