Hello
I'm building a new computer. I wanted to look at my options for Graphic cards and LCD displays can anyone tell me what I should be looking at.
I plan to use the computer for but not limited to
- Graphic work 2D and 3D
- Programming
- Video editing
- Audio sequencing
- Gaming
- Word processing
- E-mail
- Internet
- Messaging
- Listening to music
- Watching videos and movies online and on DVD
What new Graphic cards are being released soon? and who is releasing them?
What LCD displays that are wide-screen are worth taking a look at? Dell? who else makes good LCD wide-screen displays?
1) What's your budget for the graphics card and monitor? 2) What's your current monitor AND what resolution are you currently using? 3) How much desk space do you have available for a monitor? 4) What power supply do you have/are you choosing? 5) What type of 2D and 3D work/Gaming are you planning on?
NVidia is coming out the the 8800GT in the next few days/weeks. AMD/ATI is coming out with the 3800 series in the next few months. Dell is good for monitors. As are Viewsonic, Acer, Hanns-G, some others.
