hello,

i recently got the E6850 and i need to get cooling for it.

i've heard the the new thermaltake 120 ultra extreme will be the best one,

but i can't figure out where is thefan located?

does it use the case fan? or the fan mounts on the 120??

Thermaltake dont come with a fan... Usually the best choice is a Scythe 120mm part as they are quiet and move lotsa air. This is then held in place with the retention clips that come with the heatsink (dont hold me too it but im about 90% sure).

Thermaltake Big Typhoon VX is also i good performer and no hassle with the fan

If you are not overclocking the stock cooler with thermal compound is more than enough. Don't waste your money. If you want to overclock the thermalright extreme 120 with a scythe fan is a great combo, if it fits in your mobo and case that it.
