If they can give this kind of performance to a 250$~ card, I think the 500$ cards are going to blow my mind - literally. (if and when they ever come out).
I wouldn't trash a 8800 GTS for a GT. The value of your current card just nosedived, but the performance difference isn't worth the additional $250-300. You'll be better off buying a $300 card in a couple years.

Why would anyone spend additional $250-300? Just sell GTS for the similar price as you are getting GT, now maybe 5% of the market knows what new beast is born so those who arent sleeping may simply get free (or almost) upgrade
