Asus M2 Crosshair

Just wondering, does anyone know if the AM2 crosshair board audio slot can take any x1 pci-e card, or does it have to be the supreme fx card that comes with the board? I'm thinking about running 2 8800 video cards, and they take up 2 slots so it will block all the pci slots but one, which is already used. I'd like to run a soundblaster card when they come out with pci-e x1 versions, but I don't know if it will work. Has anyone tried an different card in the audio_1 slot to see what happens? Thanks.

From what I've seen, the bundled audio card goes to the top pic-e slot.

I don't see why you can't run sli on an sli board. I wouldn't bother with getting yet another sound card since the audio card isn't bad. If you must get one, then get a pci-e one.

I am running SLI on one of my crosshair systems and it's great, and yes, contrary to all of the complaints about the audio. mine works great on both systems.

It's a good board. It has some bugs, but once one becomes familiar it si easy to deal with.
