So in little over 2 weeks ATI's answer to the 8800GT will be upon us. It's looking a lot like they're aiming to compete with the 8800GT in price and performance (slightly less powerful but cheaper rumours say). Have there been any concrete statements on the card in terms of stats? Considering samples are going out, you'd think some basic stats would've appeared by now.

nope haven't heard specs... Why is ATI always SLIGHTLY less powerful?

That's just what the rumours are suggesting. I get the impression though that they would've been shouting from the mountain tops after the 8800GT was revealed if they had a superior option
