The 8900 GTX/GTS or whatever it will be called. Anyone heard or read anything on these yet? Arent they supposed to see light of day in December? I have a GTS 640 which even runs Crysis fine on all high settings at 1920 x 1200 as well as every other demo out now. But with games taking this much of a toll already on my card that ive only had for 5 months. I want to see how much of a difference there will be with the next gen high end cards? Any thoughts you GTS/GTX owners out there?

I would go jump off a cliff If I were you, better yet in front of a train! Prob cant play Crysis on your poor sad little rig and is in a corner crying about it...WAAAAAA
Their newest card has just came out. Ive heard a new gts is coming out soon. Why would nvidia have to make new cards when they have no pressure on them for their current ones? They can sell the 8800 ultra at what ever price they want because it has no competition.
we get a million of these asinine threads on every forum in existence
no one knows, gtfo already

These posts are pathetic. I would go and edit them out if I posted them.
And the 8800GT 512 is an improvement over what you have, soldier.

Doesn't look like Nvidia has another GPU taped out yet. That doesn't mean there isn't something coming but just that 8800GT is what they are talking about publicly. It is a nice card. I think the consumer will have a lot to look forward to over the next 6 months. The GT is the first to fill the void that has been lacking for midrange and the 3800 series will add to that giving people the choice of cards.
They will be double slot coolers like the GTX, only:
1 version will be 2 G92's on the same PCB, at 1Gb
1 version will be 4 G92's on the same PCB, at 2Gb
Basically, what you see on the 8800GT is just them ramping up production of these chips at TSMC. When everything is a go, to provide the "ultra high-end" void that the GTX and Ultra will leave, also leaving something to be desired in Crysis at highest settings.
I am just guessing that you would need 4 GT cores on the same PCB with 2Gb vRAM to give you the 60 FPS (in open areas) and 70-75 in the woods Max Settings at 1080P. Silky smooth. Also, this would be what PCI-E 2.0 would need to be seen as a benefit.
All this would probably be AFTER the holidays, so they can milk the "revised" GTX with the new cores, as AMD still is dragging its ass.
4 GT cores with 2Gb Vram would run you 800$ I am guessing, but would make alot of sense. They get alot of $$$ per sale WHILE they hold the performance crown.
