Latency of ram. Is it that important?

I can buy 2GB (2x1GB sticks) of OCZ DDR2 800 for $45.00. They have heat spreaders or w/e they are called on the top and I think of their "Gold" series or something along those lines. The latency seems sort of high 5-5-5-15 though. Is that a problem? How much will it affect games and overclocking?

I plan on putting it in a Gigabye P35 DS3 with a E6400.

The latency shouldn't make a noticeable effect. However, OCZ has a reputation for not being as compatible as other premium brands.

I paid $50 AR about 2 weeks ago , they dropped it down $10.
