Computer keeps restarting and won\'t go to desktop

Hi

My vista pc when started will not let me go to my desktop. It keeps repeating itself. I started in safe mode to no avail. Please help

try hitting "F8" when your computer starts to boot.

Select "Disable auto restart on system failure" or just good old safe mode.

Once you have access to the system I would recommend performing a backup then come back here and we can troubleshoot it further.

Thanks for the help. Was told by a tech that I had to reload windows vista or recovery disk. Problem is that when I moved they got misplaced. Is there a site I can burn them to disk.
