i have a p35-ds4 mobo in a new machine that i built yesterday. my configuration is:
core 2 quad q6600
ds4
ocz 2gb 800mhz
2x wdc 160gb raid 0
Vista x64 Ultimate

i am having a problem with the onboard audio card. the volume of the sound that comes out of it is VERY VERY low. i cant even hear anything from the speakers unless my ear is about 1cm away from the speakers. I maxed out everything i could find in the OS but still no difference. this was my first build, so if you think i might have done somthing wrong, please tell me

Thanks for any help!

I just built my new machine on the same board but Im not having any issues with the sound, or any problems at all actually. Im using the multichannel 5.1 with the drivers released 10/25/2007. How are your speakers hooked up?

Thanks for the help!
I tried the newest drivers, and different ports on the motherboard. I ended up calling Gigabyte and they told me that the speakers were like that because they didn't have their own amplifiers built into them and didn't use their own power. I got new speakers and BINGO! that did the trick!
