Making an image of my drive?

Hello,
I am having some issues with my small hard drive and want to replace it with a larger one. I want to make an image of the drive and transfer to the larger drive.Should the image include XP along with all my programs> I was looking at Acronis products Thanks Jan

Something like Acronis will make a complete copy of everything on your hard disk, OS, applications, data. It's the easiest way of installing a larger disk.

Which product in Acronis and are there any Mfrs I used migrate,followed the instructions but the new harddrive did not have the OS on it and my original drive is useless now had to format both and lost all my stuff.
