Will constant moving of a ONE avi file from one computer to another lead to data corruption or data damage to that file?

it can, it depends on the motherboard chipset and whether or not you overclock, old via chipsets and even current Nvidia chipsets are notorious for this, even if you only oc by a little on Nvidia. Via chipsets used to do it when you installed via's drivers, but were just fine with microsoft drivers.

Do you overclock and what chipset are you using, or what motherboard ?
