Memory Slot and Performance

Hi,

I bought a Sycthe Ninja Mini for installation on a eVGA nForceh 680i A1 Mobo. With the fan installed, it blocks at the 0 memory slot on the board. If I install memory in the higher number slots, is there a performance hit. That is, does the slot matter?

You can perhaps check this by running memtest with your RAM installed in the different slots. It shows your memory's transfer speed in MB/s when running.I don't know if this is a valid test though.

Use 2 of the other 3 slots that have the same color for dual channel. If you only have one dimm then its doesn't matter.
