Currently I have an Opty 165 clocked @ 2.4GHz but I only have 2x512 HyperX memory so swapping in and out of Crysis/ TF2 / COD4 is killing me...

Looking at Intel's current line of chips and some of the OC's you guys are getting out of these things prompted me to buy the following rather than buy another 1GB of expensive DDR memory:

Corsair 2GB DDR 800 4-4-4-12
MSI P6N Platinum (partially due to Tom's review...)
E4500 (M0 Stepping)

However, reading some more about PCI-E lanes and lack of support for 1333FSB I'm wondering if I should have yanked a Gigabyte board instead.. I was looking for eSATA and FW, but maybe eSATA isn't as important as FSB & PCI-E lanes

I've got an eVGA 8800 GTX and a Creative X-fi to stick in the box..

Would my 8800 perform better on a mobo with more lanes?

EDIT: I guess the 650i DOES in fact support 1333 FSB.. guess the review I saw (somewhere else) wasn't entirely correct...

Thanks!

Just to follow up:

Got my M0 stepping E4500, upped the FSB to 1200 fiddled with some voltages..

Right now I'm running 3.3GHz and haven't missed a beat, did some Prime95 but mostly CoD4/Crysis/TF2 and have noticed a definite increase in playability.
