Yeah, I know, don't use an overclocking utility that is run from the desktop. But, being new to overclocking, I don't really understand why? Can somebody please give me an easy to understand reason why you shouldn't use it? Also, wouldn't it be a good way for somebody new to overclocking (like myself) to see what things change when you overclock? Or as a way to quickly test changes and if they work go into BIOS and set things manually?

Here's what I did with it on my PC using the Easy mode (not advanced). I bumped the overclocker to 15% with the following results:

CPU: went from 200 to 230 FSB, 1.21 Voltage, Ratio: 11
Mem: went from 800 to 920 Frequency (I set the voltage manually in BIOS to 2.20 along with timings of 4-4-4-12)

Are those the kinds of settings that would be normal if you did it manually?

you can have more control on bias setting: you may need to adjust certain hardware setting to get better result.
for e4***. the typical oc is 3.2Ghz. and you need to run loading test to check staiblity of oc result.
