Case CFM question.

Thanks for the link. I like and agree with the negative pressure idea.

The only thing I want to different is use the front fan as an exhaust. It just seems more efficient because the computer sits along a basement wall that generally has cooler, less dirty, air to intake for from the back and push as much warmer air out the front from inside the case.

Having the front fan intake seems like it would have the dirtiest and warmest air.

Any thoughts?

In most cases the front (usually intake) also has some sort of mesh for filters, while the rear (usually exhaust) do not. If you do this, you probably want to ensure you have filters for the rear. another consideration is the front intake is usually low in the case (cool air sinks) while the rear exhaust fans are usually higher (hot air rises). also, you cpu HSF usually is oriented to blow toward the back toward the exhaust. Things to consider if you change this typical orientation.
