Computer switched off before instal complete

I was doing initial instal on my laptop and my husband unplugged it before the instal had completed. I can't do anything and the computer appears to be having problems locating any of the files.

Yeah not very good. Were you reinstalling or were you repairing the OS? Were these updates?
