More Information

I couldn't help noticing that the prices of the 8800GTS 320MB and of the 8800GT 512 are almost the same (230€ for GT and 250€ for the GTS). This is the case in France.

Why is that? I would have expected a decrease in the GTS's price...

Or is it just because GTS's will become extinct and "rare" items?

Performance-wise i would have expected the GT to be the more expensive,

thx for your answers

Many retailers don't adjust their prices until they worry about moving stock.

For whatever reason some GTS prices are sticky.

Either retailers think uninformed consumers will pay more for the GTS, they're too lazy to adjust the prices, or they have another motivation.

However pretty much 99.44% of the time the GT will outperform the GTS, so for anyone deciding between the two they should just be happy the prices aren't reversed and take advantage of that fact, and maybe sell their old GTS if they have one, while people still think they're getting a bargain. :sol:
