Hi all

My question is simple:

I have an e2160 at 3.0 vcore 1.5!!!

Would it be safe to increase the vcore to 1.6 to get 3.2-3.3 ???

I tried all things but this is just a lemon oc-er CPU so,the high voltage problem can't be solved! So my question how far can i go(in the safe zone, for 3.2 ????)

I have 9700 NT cooling,so heat is not a problem!

Have you really ever heard about c2d killed by high voltage(over time, not 2.1 to the vcore and bang....)
If you find some material about killed c2d over the course of one year or two,by the high voltage... please post it

i agree this is a good post, i feel 1.5v is the most i would put through my e2160. currently mine can do 3Ghz at 1.35v 47c max heat but over that it becomes voltage hungry so i think im going to feed it a bit see how far it will go

Stock Intel at full fan speed, but I have a Thermalright Ultra 120 on order. Should be able to drop those temps by the weekend. For now they aren't giving me problems, but I would like to reduce the Vcore a bit more.
