Didn't want to clog up the super nice guide with questions, so I started a new thread.
-----------------
It says to run ATI tool for 2 mintues and record the temperature, and then make a note of that temp. When OC'ing, it says you shouldn't go over that temp.
I have an 8800GTS 512 that I am getting ready to OC... I followed the procedure and the max temp. was 56 C. That seems rather cool to be my 'max'... is that right? I tried to find some specs for the card... but I did't find any hard data.
I know I can just push values and look for artifacts... but I'm trying to follow the guide.
If you REALLY want to know, download NiBitor 3.7 and pull the BIOS off the card, then go to the Temp sections and see what the "min/max" and operating temperatures are as well as the throttle threshhold.
