Right now I'm looking at two evga's, The 8800GT Superclocked and the 8800GT KO Edition. Putting those aside, which GT out there right now do you guys think is the best?

Evga's are the best and the stepup program really does a good job of putting value into your purchase plus a free copy of quake wars comes with it when you register.

EVGA

Okay then evga it is. The step up program is really what drove me to look at those in the first place. Now what do you guys think about the choice between the GT Superclocked and the GT KO?

get the SSC? hehe its better than both!

Depends if you want to manually overclock and save some extra bucks or stay on the semi-safe side of pre flashed-overclocked cards.

hmm apparantly it is. evga claims that it is eligible as long as it is in working order. As long as it isn't fried upon return, I'm sure it will still be qualified for a step, perhaps for the december release of the 8800GTS refresh.

Gainward is a high quality GT that overclocks like a mad scientist on Viagra!

Are Gainwards available in North America?

I like the double lifetime warranty offered on the xfx 8800 GT. Ya sell the card when it's time for an upgrade, and the buyer also gets lifetime warranty!

I have the MSI NX8800gt 660core 950memory 1650 shader and i have no regret's run's everything on max setting's.

The XFX 8800GT XXX gets my vote. Gotta love a 2x lifetime warranty...only from XFX!

I've always used XFX and found them excellent cards.

EVGA FOR STEP UP BETTER THAN THE REST!!!

Reply to vaker5

can i have your other quake wars plz? :D

Reply to esmith7075

I'm putting on a Zalman VGA cooler any how so there's no point in me not overclocking a cheaper card since I already voided my warranty with the fan. I wanted to Step Up my old 7950 GT, but I already replaced the EVGA fan since it sounded like a leaf blower and ran with high temperatures up in the 60s and 70s.

Get the one that is in stock!

Who cares about XFX's double lifetime warranty. If I'm not mistaken Evga's warranty also applies to the next person that buys it...not that I really care if the person that buys my used card has a warranty on it or not.

All 8800gt's use the same core so I highly doubt that Gainwards are better than anyone elses.

Damn you! Same exact card I ordered but havent recieved yet. I'm curious as to where most people got theirs, what date did they buy it, and what did they install and use it.

You're all heart! But you miss the point...its a key selling point. People are much more inclined to purchase a used video card knowing it comes with a warranty. Next time spare us your flippant answers and think first.

If your going to overclock and stick with the card for a while go with xfx.
(xfx supports overclocking)
If you plan to up-grade in 3months step up go with evga.
