I've been looking at the 680i chipset boards but not sure which one to get, I'm not too interested in overclocking so I guess that rules out the Striker Extreme but what about the rest of them?
Any advice would be welcome.

StrikerExtreme is a very nice board but ASUS P5N32-E SLI PLUS has the same features and supports sli @ dual 16x and its alot cheaper

the reason that StrikerExtreme is expensive is that it has some extra features which wont be needed like LCD poster and also ASUS has named it an ultimate gaming Motherboard (advertising)

I have read in other forums that the ASUS P5N32-E SLI PLUS can be picky about the memory used, I'll be using 4GB of Crucial Ballistix PC6400 and an Intel Q6700 with a BFG 8800 GTX

StrikerExtreme all the way. The only negative about it you can't fit any good cpu cooler. Unless it's water cooling

ASUS P5N32-E SLI PLUS is a great board. I purchased this board 6 months ago from newegg(open box $130free shipping) and it has been perfect.

BIOS 805, I use the e6750 at 3.0ghz-8mult(standard voltage) with a water bolck(load 32c), kingston pc6400 @ 886mhz-2.1v(4-4-4-12), evga 8800gts ac3 ko-core@620mhz, memory@945mhz with koolance waterblock(load 47c) . SB X-fi fatal1y Platinum Fatal1ty, and spectre DCLCD 24" display.

I plan on adding another evga 8800gts for SLI (this board has 2 TRUE 16x lanes), moving to a Quad Core and upgrading my cooling system.

This board will allow me to run the way I like until the new chipsets to settle in.

I push the games hard (crysis, cod modwar4, bioshock, mohair, etc..) and record/edit audio(adobe audition 1.5, sonar6 producer and many plugins). My temps, stability, upgrading, support, etc....this board rocks!!!
