Hi all im new to this forum and have been looking for help. I recently bought "the orange box" of half life 2 and can play team fortress and portal, but cannot play half life 2 as is says my drivers are out of date. I have the most up to date driver and have the nvidia 7800gtx video card any help would be greatly appreciated.

According to www.canirunit.com, your videocard can run it at the minimum settings but not the recommended settings. I figure that the reason you can run TF2 and Portal but not HL2 is because HL2 is more graphically intensive. You might consider upgrading to a better videocard. Sometimes when you're having trouble with your drivers, it's good if you try and downgrade to a previous version.
