I am having a tuff decision deciding whether or not to get the Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz. It seems to be great for the price but, as a loyal AMD fanboy, I want to get the 6400+ AMD Black Edition. It is 2.4ghz compared to 3.2ghz. And with about a $70 price difference, I am not sure if it is worth it. My wish list for the AMD is here....

ASUS CROSSHAIR AM2 NVIDIA nForce 590 SLI MCP ATX AMD Motherboard - Retail

AMD Athlon 64 X2 6400+ Windsor 3.2GHz Socket AM2 Processor Model ADX6400CZWOF - Retail

Otherwise, this would be my choice for Intel...

EVGA 122-CK-NF68-A1 LGA 775 NVIDIA nForce 680i SLI ATX Intel Motherboard - Retail
Intel Core 2 Quad Q6600 Kentsfield 2.4GHz.

Both would end up being cooled by the famous...

ZALMAN CNPS 9700 NT 110mm 2 Ball Ultra Quiet CPU Cooler - Retail

Please help me decide...

Q6600. You can add more speed by overclocking, but you can't add more cores.

I have the Crosshair and the 6000+ with the crosshair it will max at 3.24GHz safely, you can go to 3.3 if you want.

The 6000+ is crap for gaming so get the Asus intel version of the Crosshair and the Q6600.
