$900 is the top budget I have for a PC for a non-overclocker. This will have to include monitor and Vista Home Ultimate.

Your help is greatly appreciated.

Get on and i believe you can do this fairly easily. I would get an AMD system to cut cost, you could probably get a 5000+ and 2gigs of ram, as well as a 8600gt. Always try to get the best parts possible, dont cut costs with power supplies, etc. or you will regret it. There are tons of deals on that will meet your budget. Happy hunting!

Here is a quality build for $650 without the MIR and OS, in fact you can upgrade the CPU to an e6750 and the video card to an 8800GTS for <$950.

Most of the parts are from ClubIT or NewEgg or MWave. Sorry no deal on MS OS.

If you want to upgrade anything, upgrade the video card to a Radeon X1950PRO 256MB 256-bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 for an additional $20, sorry no MIR. - $129.99 NewEgg

If you are determined to spend $900 upgrade the video card to GeForce 8800GTS for an additional $180. - $289 + $20MIR - ClubIT

CORSAIR CMPSU-550VX - $83.9 + $20MIR - ZipZoomFly

GIGABYTE GA-P35-DS3L LGA775 Intel - $98.99 - ClubIT
or ABIT IP35 which is $89.95 at MWave + $20MIR

OCZ Platinum Revision 2 2GB (2x1GB) DDR2-800 - $79.99 - $44.99 after MIR - ClubIT

Intel Pentium Dual Core E2160 - $77.99 - easy OC (yeah I know you said no, but it is so easy to OC to 3.0GHz which is really speedy eliminating the need to purchase a more expensive CPU) ClubIT

COOLER MASTER RC-690-KKN1-GP Black SECC/ ABS ATX Mid Tower - $64.99 - $20MIR NewEgg

Seagate Barracuda 500GB 7200 RPM SATA 3GB - $110.99 - ClubIT

DVD Burner:

Samsung 20X SATA DVDRW - $29.99 - NewEgg

Video Card:

MSI GeForce 8600GT OC 256MB 128bit GDDR3 PCI Express x16 Video - $109.99 - $89.99 after MIR
