I see that 2gb of my ram is costing only £50, so im thinking is it worth going to 4gb for xp? i know this is a question which a lot of people will dispute. But bearing in mind games like crysis and other new games, is there any benefit to an extra 2gig other than faster loading times? There was a benchmark for world in conflict (it may of been gamespots) which showed no gain at all with over 2 gb ram.

Only 64 bit operating systems even utilize 4gb of ram. If you have standard 32 bit you can only USE up to 3gb. you can have 4gb though. Even if you have a 64 bit os there is no need for xp and 4gb of ram... Playing Oblivion on highest settings with other apps on I only use 1.2gb of moi 2gbs
