Im curious about what other's are getting with there 8800gt's in 3dmark06..Maybe this thread can be used to show off what ya got?...Heres what im getting soo far with better cooling im not sure how far i could get it to go.
10731 3d mark's..stock
10856 3d mark's..704mhz clock,995mhz memory
10954 3d marks...704mhz clock,995mhz memory,3033mhz cpu clock
11073 3d marks...704mhz core clock ,995mhz memory, clock...3078mhz cpu clock
I noticed more of a gain upping the cpu a tad then i did upping the gpu's core and memory clock.
I dunno, I keep reading online about 3DMark06 scores of 12,500 to 14,500 with cores at 750 and I can't get above 710 and a score of 10,700 which is just 150 more than my 8800 GTS 640.
I'm bummin at this point. I was expecting MUCH more.

Not being able to overclock to 750 means around 500-750 points less, depending on if your cpu is bottlenecking or not. What cpu do you have?

Just a thought but are you sure your video card is plugged into a true PCIe x16 slot on your motherboard as ooposed to one of the x8's or something. maybe thats it...
13552 was my last highest score.
I ain't done yet though.
IIRC my first score was in the 11's with everything at stock speeds
Q6600 running at 3.0 and Thermalright Ultra 120 Extreme
EVGA 8800GT SC at SSC speeds
Abit IP35 pro
2 gig Patriot memory. (timings running in auto for now)
Samsung 226BW
Vista Ultimate 64 bit.

wow thats impressive. Its about the same as what I get with a couple of SLI'd 8800GTX's.
Now I'm wondering if my cpu (2.93 Ghz core 2 duo ex) is a bottleneck. I'll give it the OC beans tonite to see what difference it makes.
I'm starting to think that now is the time when a (slightly) slower quad might really get a lot more than a fast duo though. Especially with games like crysis.

Just curious what the number on your E series cpu you got, most of them OC very well. I think you can pump out some more FPS if you streatch its legs.
I just did 3dmark06 last night at stock speeds and got 13000, which must really suck if you can get more than that with a single 8800gt.
Interestingly though, I only lost about 200 marks when I ran 3dmark06 at 1920x1200 instad of the normal 1280x1024, so it certainly looks like my GPUs are bottlenecked by the rest of the system somwhere.
Stand by for OC'd scores.
update: I just got my 3dmark06 score over 15000 just by increasing the FSB to 325Mhz (1300 QDR) pushing my CPU up tp 3.525 Ghz.
I guess the gpus aren't the bottleneck then... Maybe I should just run 3dmark06 benchmark without CPU tests and OC the GPU's instead to determine that. Anyway I'll carry on tweaking tonite and do another update later.
I'm getting somewhere around 8900 for 3dmark06 with my evga 8800gt superclocked. My specs are socket am2 3800+ x2 OC'ed to 2.4GHz 2x1gb kingston valueram. 650/950 8800gt. My score went up 600-700 points when overclocked from 2200 to 2400mhz. I think you have a pretty normal score considering your processor
See system specs in signature. Video card OC settings 3D core clock 504 and Memory clock @ 434 3D mark '06 is a whopping 3056 Whoohoo!!!!! Crysis set to medium except water set to high no AA and it runs pretty good suprisingly there are some pauses at checkpoints and game saves though.

I have a similar system to yours aman, and I get 10770 without any overclocking on an x2 6000, gigabyte 8800gt oc, and 2 gig xms 2 800 on xp
Im now getting about 11,800 with a new mobo,4gig's of ram and vista 64bit home premium and my 6000+ oc'ed to 3.2..When i go to 3.3 my score only goes up like 100 point's.
hehe... I get 12100 in 3dmark06 with a 8800 gts 640... and a e6420... so yeah those are kinda low... but the processor really makes the different... if your cpu score goes up a hundred... the overall score goes up like 500
QC 9450 intel 2.666
6GB PC DDR2 6400
HP has only as of OEM when they start the 55nm its retail 9800GT everthing same as specs of 8800GT 100% but die shrink and texture fill rate is tad more
