How to close a programme

hi,i'm trying to uninstall a program,i keep getting told to close the program,but don't know how to,can anyone help,please?

Hi,

What I normally do is press CTRL + ALT + DEL at the same time, and open the Task Manager. Once that is open, I'd scroll down the application list to see what program needs to be closed. Once I see it, I click that program, and press "End Task", and just wait a minute. If this doesn't work, reply back!
