hi all,i have a powercolor 3870 factory overclocked card at 800/1170 i tried using ati catalyst to up the clocks, but above 805/1175 it fails,so i was wondering if it is just that the card is a bad overclocker or could it be down to drivers or operating system if anyone has any ideas?
catalyst ver 8.1
vista home premium
3dmark06 crashes when testing at 805/1175
cheers

well after some routing around i found out installing dotnetfx 3.0 would help.
to me it seemed to make no difference but i also installed rivatuner and i have run 3dmark06 twice at 863/2504 so it does overclock!

Glad you fixed your problem. Could you tell us your OCed and non-OCed 3dmark06 scores? Just curious.

sure thing.
by the way i carried on ocing got up to 902 core and still need to up the mem!
so at stock speeds: (powercolour factory oc)
800/1170 i get 10784 in 3dmark06
902/1252 i get 11413

so a gain of 629
