This board works with crossfire, does anything change when the 3870x2 is released? Could I crossfire 2 of those?
Does it SLI?
Will this board support the 45nm Penryn? And will it be missing any features?(kinda like phenoms working on a am2 motherboard but the HT is clocked down to 2 instead of 3GHz. Anything like that when using Penryn?)

The X38 has ALL the latest features available. I'm using it waiting for Intel's next round of 45nm processors.

Thanks badge, I'll probably go with this motherboard, and a Q6600 as soon as some HD3870's are in stock again. I think I'll buy those cards now and then when the 300$ penryn comes around Ill sell the Q6600 and get that, Same thing for the 3870's with 3870x2's.
Unless im being foolish, I think this is what im going to do.
See my sig. I want to crossfire the ATI cards in the future. The X38 lets you use your DDr2, gives you PCIE 2.0, 16 x 2 crossfire and is 45nm ready. Fool? I think not. 8)

Also, do you think Ill have any problems dropping a Q6600 in that motherboard? The Q6600 FSB is supposed to be 1066 but the mobo is listed as 1600/1333. Is this just an easy OC for the Q6600 or something? What about my memory? I have the Crucial Balistix Tracer 1066.
ASUS maximus Formula SE review. I haven't had any problems with my MB. ASUS offers a new BIOS layout with a new overclocker's interface. I like it. I believe Intel will realease X48 chipset soon after the release of 45nm. You can use your DDR2 RAM with the ASUS Maximus Formula SE. X48 will likely be DDR3 specifically.
