Im trying to install a new Samsung Spinpoint F1 1TB hdd in my computer. I can see the hdd in Bios, and when I boot up Windows Vista it detects the new hardware and automatically installs it as, and here is where my problems start, a 32 mb disk (same size as cache memory) and a new cd-rom.

In disk manager I can even partion the 32mb disk. The cd-rom says "no media present".
I have tried to switch cables with a working disk to see if there was a problem there, but the result is the same. Im using a Gigabyte GA-P35-DS3 motherboard.

I havent got a clue about what to do =(

Is the hdd faulty, or can there be anything else I need to do to get it working?
