dimension 8400 no start... blinking yellow

did some searching... ahvent found a solution to the problem here or through google yet...

dimension 8400... power went out in apt... now no start...

computer wont start... push the button and no fans power or anything...just the light

power ligh on the front i blinking yellow
hard drive light is solid green
diag lights on back are all blank

First take a look at the motherboard and make sure there are no leaking or bulging capacitors. If that passes make sure all cable connections are tight. If that doesn't get it and you have access to another psu, you can try it next.
If a known good psu won't work, chances are high that the mb is shot.
