Is it possible to have a drive that reads and burns (makes) Cd-roms AND DVD's in one?
Or does just every drive has that?
When I look at newegg you have to choose between
CD-ROM drive and DVD-rom drive, So probably I have to get both??
Get a SH-S203B. It reads and writes both CD and DVD media. Just about every DVD burner does that, but some burners are better than others. You definitely don't need a CD burner or a DVD-ROM drive.
A ROM drive won't burn (ROM stands for Read Only Memory).
Most DVD burners (DVD R/W) will also read/burn CD's, you need to read the drive spec where it lists the media formats supported.
True that. Just be careful, almost every burner's specs include CD-ROM and DVD-ROM among features. It just means it also reads. Don't let it confuse you.
That sounds good, but where do you get 22x media? With 16x disks you better not force the speed or you'll get coasters, or disks that look OK but last less than you'd expect.
