Hey guys

I recently decided to build a gaming rig. So far I've earmarked the following components

Q6600 with SilentSquare Pro
Asus P5k Deluxe/Gigabyte p35 ds4
Western Digital Caviar SE 320gb
Antec p182
Antec Trio 550w (enough ?)
XFX XXX-Edition 8800gts 640mb
Corsair TwinX XMS 2x1GB ddr2800 4-4-4-12

I'm hoping on OC'ing the Q6600 to at least 3ghz, but more importantly I want the machine to run real quiet like.

In particular I have no idea which MoBo to use (leaning toward the ds4). I'm hoping to keeping the mobo for a couple years. Any opinions on the Asus/Gigabyte, or other recommendations ? Any Bad BottleNecks(tm) ? Btw this already overexceeds my original self imposed budget, so if you can also recommend cheaper but near as effective components that'd be nice too. :)

Thanks much.

1. I hear the Gigabyte P35 D3SL or the P35 D3SR(something like that) is pretty good for Ocing.

2. The 8800GT 512MB will most likely preform better than the 8800GTS 640MB. It just came out today, and the reviews seem good. It also sells for a cool ~$240.00

When do you want to build?

The just released 8800gt is a kickass card and outpreforms the current GTS's. Its also cheaper! (there is also a new GTS 640 on the way.)

I wouldn't go for the antec psu, take a corsair instead (520HX or 620HX)
the 520HX would be enough i think

Gigabyte builds great mobos
Take the P35-DS3R if you don't use firewire and want to save some money.

Thanks for the replies.
I'm hoping to build it asap (next 2 weeks).

I hear the DS3's Northbridges run pretty hot. The DS4 is supposed to have better cooling than the DS3s, isn't it? Or is the real world oc'ing difference negligible ?

Is the antec PSU that bad ? Corsair psu's aren't stocked by the suppliers I'm purchasing from (I'm getting a decent discount from them). They also stock Asus, CoolerMaster, Gigabyte, ThermalTake and Zalman psu's. Any recommendations out of those brands ?
