I got a new Oppo DVD player and connected it via HDMI to my JVC D-ILA.
The Oppo uses the Faroujda chip with the dreaded "macroblock enhance"
bug. Unfortunately I see lots of macroblocking, so I'm afraid the JVC
is one of those displays that highlights the macroblocking.

Does anyone else find similar macroblocking issues with the D-ILA and
Faroudja-based players such as the Oppo or Panasonic S97 or Denons?
Other than the macroblocking, the Oppo really does produce a superb
picture in all other respects.
